Frequently asked voice over questions
Wondering How It All Works?
Here are answers to some of the most common questions I get.
Still unsure about something? Just shoot me a message. I’m happy to help!

Send me an email with your script, specs, and usage details. I’ll send over a quote and turnaround time.
Once approved, I record and deliver your files (or we do a live session). -
Rates vary depending on usage, length, and where your project will be heard (internal, online, paid advertising, etc.). I follow the GVAA Rate Guide as a baseline to ensure fair, industry standard pricing.
Just send over your script and details, and I’ll be happy to provide a custom quote.
For more details you can read my blog post about voice over rates here.

When quoting, I consider factors like script length, intended usage, market size, exclusivity, and whether paid ads are involved. Once I have that info, I’ll send an exact quote. My job is to make this process easy so feel free to reach out so we can chat.

Most clients request WAV or MP3, but I can deliver in any standard audio format your editor prefers.
-
Most projects are delivered within 24 hours. If you have a tight deadline, just let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate!
-
Absolutely! I’ve had a home studio for over 10 years and am used to wearing both the engineer hat and voice actor hats in the booth.

I love the collaboration of a live session and the ability to get feedback and direction right on the spot. This also helps to make sure you get the reads you need right away. If you’d like to direct the session in real time, we can use Source-Connect Standard, Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams.
-
I’ll make sure I get all the details from you about pace, tone, etc. and then record on my own and send you 3 takes so you have options to choose from.
-
I want you to be totally satisfied with the recording so typically I include 1 round of retakes for minor script or tone changes. But if more is needed, we can chat to work something out.

I always send clean files with mistakes or talking during the session edited out.
