Hello and welcome to Making it to the Mic. I'm your host, Stephanie, Pam Roberts, and I'm so excited to finally be back for season four on this podcast, I interview voice actors about their journeys, how they made it to the mic, and what steps they took to create the careers they have now. But this season, there's a twist, and it has to do with income. All my guests this season are people who have made at least six figures or more in voice over income alone, and they've done that consistently for several years. Inspired by the State of VO survey, which I'll link in the show notes, I wanted to see if there were any common threads among top earners in the industry. And spoiler alert, as is usually the case in voiceover, I've learned that while there are similarities in mindset and ways people run their businesses, there are also lots of differences. Some of these guests are non union, some are sac some work across multiple genres. Some focus on only one or two. Some are bilingual. Some are not. Some are newer to the industry, and some have been doing this for many years. So once again, there are so many paths to take to create a career in voiceover, and I hope you'll tune in to hear the unique perspectives and stories that these guests have to offer. New episodes will be available on Thursdays, so please like, subscribe and follow this podcast so you don't miss any of them, and tune in next Thursday for the first official episode of making it to the mic with my guest Gina Scarpa, you.
